Multi-track audio editor and recorder that supports many audio formats. Version 1.3.12 requires at least a 1GHz processor for live capture; a slower processor is OK for other functions. Version 1.2.6 is faster, simpler and a better choice for older hardware; it also requires the dependencies listed below. Both versions compiled by mikeb.

Avidemux
A video converter and editor. Redundant command line and Qt4 versions that were built into the previous .pet have been removed. This gtk2-based .pet is half the size and starts faster. Requires at least a Pentium 3 processor. The .zip includes a user guide. More information is available here.

An open-source multimedia player compatible with audio CD, DVD, VCD and more. Last gtk2-based version. Built as a player only for lightness and simplicity.
